There is a lot that needs to be done for the main profile of Thomas Lloyd, Sr I just added DAR info and will add to DAR projects. I think I can due to my collaborations with several. Child James is the only DAR proven, but likely not the only child of the union of Patience and Thomas. James seems to have had 4 wives according to the DAR records - though only two are mentioned with children's descendants. I will see what I can do today on sorting some of this if everyone is agreeable.
Thank you so much, Susanne Floyd
My interest, besides the fact that I see them in my tree building meaning in community with my ancestors, is in the fact that one of husband's paternal cousins and he are a top DNA match for an African American cousin who has been working on the line and believes the connection is via McCracken. I have no knowledge of McCracken in my husband's line but am eager to figure it out.
Ok, I have requested on the Colonial fix discussions that someone look at John S. Lloyd who has a wife that I think should not be attached. There may have been a John Lloyd in Pennsylvania around that time married to Rebecca Lloyd I think that John S. Lloyd, shoemaker is only married to Prudence in Virginia.
There were five sons of John and Prudence that served in the American Revolution. The are all present and accounted for, noted and added to projects now:
Joseph Lloyd is the only one that was not listed in the DAR database, but I did find the info on his service and attached it. We have a project for those who have served, but not be "documented" in DAR. I put him there.
I checked to make sure proper wives were attached to the above and the DAR proven children. Please review. Awaiting the clean up on John Sr. and the two wives issue.
The Lloyd lines are my 9th and 10th cousins 9 and 10 times removed respectively. Nice to fill them in. :-)
I will look at the McCracken lines next.
