Ebenezer changed his last name from Hathaway to Hatheway with the revolution war to show his loyality to the crown. He was a tory zealot. All his records from Canada show him, wife Mary and children as Hatheway. Warren did change his name back to Hathaway when he married and went to Maine. The other children including my family line remained Hatheaway.
I have his St. John's obituary, New Brunswick cemetery location. All Canada information show him as Hatheway. My family line thru Thomas Gilbert continues to this date as Hatheway.
What can be done to correct Ebenezer's name change and show the Hatheway name continuing to date?
