Evan's mother and father are listed as William Jefferis and Elizabeth Ring Neeld Jefferis. Evan was born 1722, but William and Elizabeth did not marry until 1724. Is this the reason that Evan was not a Quaker? (We know that Evan's wife was censured by her Meeting for marrying a non-Quaker.)
