It is most unlikely that Rav' Nissim Chilibi Codron's family is in any way connected to this Belgian family (CAUDRON family). I find this SUPPOSED connection hard to believe as (1) there were Kodron/Codrons in Rhodes for centuries; (2) how does someone from Belgium move to Rhodes in the mid-19th century (?!) and (3) how do non-Jewish sounding Belgian/French last names all of a sudden get very Turkish and Sephardi first names (especially considering Rav Codron was a renowned Kabbalist) and (4) if you do the maths, the birth of Rav Codron doesnt add up to Abraham Nicolas Joseph Caudron's age (he was a teen when he became a father?).
