Can anyone confirm or positively rule out whether this information is correct. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

There is a Frances who married Thomas Andrews and they are direct ancestors for my son on his paternal side. All I've been able to find is that on Wiki:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Anderson-12996

there is a note that she was also the wife of Col. John Smith:

Daughter of Bartelot and Mary Cosby Anderson. Wife of Col. John Smith, Sr. and mother to possibly 8 boys

So I'm trying to figure out if, indeed, this is all the same Frances Anderson who was actually married twice - to both Col. John Smith and to Thomas Andrews or if people have confused them and merged some of their info.

What interesteing is that John Smith is my paternal John Smith second cousin 6 times removed and this Frances Anderson is my paternal first cousin 7 times removed. So if Frances is actually my son's paternal direct ancestor via the Andrews marriage, there's a lot of endogamy there! lol

Colonel Lawrence Smith is not my ancestor. However there are William Smith and as my family lore goes we descend from Thomas Customer Smythe. I’m a double descendent through my great grandparents through my great great grandmother I can prove but there’s a disconnection from my great grandfather side the Smythe side because we lost information and connection with the families over in the UK but we’re related to. The lords of Westinhanger and Strangfords. Kitty Anderson is descendant of Cyprian Proulx a Huguenot indentured servant who came to Virginia via Delaware in the 17th century.

But you some how come out related to me through the Graysons.

lol...lots of endogamy in the lines :)
