Appears he had 5 sons and one daughter with Sarah Jane Ollier (1853-1916) between 1873 and 1886 all born around Creswick. All the children's birth certificates show surname as Ollier and father unknown. The children's marriage and death certificates show Richard as their father. Most likely, he is the Rchd Snowball who arrived on ship "Red Jacket" on 9th July 1857 from Liverpool, aged 25. Where he was born and what happened to him after last child was born in 1886 is a mystery? It appears Sarah went on to have 4 children with Frederick John Smith between 1891-1897, although a couple of the children had Ollier as surname on their birth certificate, with father unknown.
