I wanted to let you know there is a website for The Pettit Family History and Genealogy Research Project at https://pettitresearch.com. There is a lot of information on the Spartanburg, SC Pettits, New Jersey Pettits, and Virginia Pettits and it will be expanded to others as well. "The First Pettits in America" series covers the earliest Pettit immigrants to America. There is also a survey for Pettits and Pettit cousins to fill out which will help preserve some of the many family legends out there.
