Jan Obel - The circumstances of Jan’s death

Dear Grace. So good to hear from you. Jan died november 2015 from a heart attack, he had a thrombosis 2 or 3 years before but was saved in time. He had a hard life the last ears of his life, he did not take much care to his health. He tryed in different way to go on with his scientific researh, but not in a realistik way. He loved to debate with everybody, and in the last years he spend a lot of time with some young persons. They respectet him and loved to discuss with him. I met them at the funeral, i think he was like a guro to them. He also met people who did not like hes way of eager debate. Some of them made his life hard. I was not a very big help to him, i could not debate for many hours in the night, so i did not see him very often. I am sorry about that, he was not easy to live close to. I am sorry i did not inform you after hes death, and i am sorry my english is so bad.
I think he had a fine life in the end, in his own way, but not a easy live.
