I wonder if George is experiencing the same problem that I am having on a number of similar trees that I have tried to help others with?

Some of my contacts' researches into their immediate family lines seem to be greatly hampered by numerous duplicated private entries which another contributor appears to show no interest in making public. It is a great shame for although the option to privatize post 1870 entries is quite legitimate, in my opinion, that option can also be inadvertently used by anyone who is only distantly connected (or has no connection at all to an ancestral line) and therefore unfairly blocks far closer descendants from actively researching their personal ancestries.

I have therefore been waiting for the major contributor among those listed above to respond and express his own point of view, but it would appear that concerns that George has expressed on this discussion list have also failed to gain his attention here as well.

I had the same experience as Roy - these persons are not collaborating with anybody else unfortunately. When I contacted one of them - he has blocked me, and he is keeping adding profiles to Geni who are already there and clearly duplicates. I have reached the point I'm not even wasting time to merge those profiles. I think Mr. Feldmajer and Mr Haraszti is not active anymore in Geni, but Mr. Deri is still churning out profiles in great quantities however with questionable quality and without sources.

As I understand it Peter, two of the above ceased to be active long ago, whilst another continues to turn out unnecessary private entries and is reticent to communicate or make public some obvious duplicates. If George has also been asking him to make adjustments or clarify certain conflicts by providing links to verifying sources, in all probability he will end up being blocked like you and I have been.
