it might be of interest that some descendants of William Seale/Sale immigrated (through Georgia and Alabama) to Amite County, Mississippi, in about 1807. (William to Antony II to Charles to Thomas Littleton to Moses to Dougal (or Dougle) Elijah to Dougal to Cletus Aaron; this line ends because Cletus A. had only 1 son, Oliver, who only begat daughters). Remnants of that family remain in Amite (variations of spelling: Sale, Seal, Seales) but the largest descendant family moved north to Franklin County in the 1840s (?) and bought 360 farm there, 8 miles south of Meadville. Prosperous yeomen, they financed the building of the Mt. Olive Methodist Church (still standing) and the nearby school. The old log home was dismantled in the 1950s by a disgruntled heir, but the family cemetery remains, with a marble marker on the main road and a well-maintained cemetery registered with the State and containing 4 veterans' graves, including those of the American Revolution, the Civil War, and World War 1. Descendants of Dougal Elijah and Moses (this line) remain in residence in the area; I am from Cletus Aaron, grandson of Dougal Elijah. Cletus' marriage to Mary Lillie McIntyre McCall allied 3 pioneer families: the McCalls of McCall's Creek, Frankliin County (1808) and the McIntyres of Jefferson County (1814). The 1824 yeoman house of the McIntyres survives in southern Jefferson County, now preserved by its heir.
