Ok worthy of research. I am in touch with Christopher Lamar Savage b. 1969- son of Leroy Savage, and grandson of Sam Savage Jr, and g grand son of Shephard Savage- all in the Wilcox Alabama USA area- matching one of my cousins D. McDonald - grandson of Herbert Charles McDonald - all HAPLO Es !!!! E-M2 to be exact

With more news re Stuarts/ Stewarts being black- we need to re examine all sources. Stories of Origins of Anglo Saxons- 9th century - of black vikings- Haplo Es are making a come back and need to really spend time researching and not assume everyone is a Haplo R

There's trouble at the upper end of the tree. The Miles Files have no record of a Hamilton Savage, and "Thomas William" Savage is Right Out. (That would be Thomas OR William,. not both.)

People like to grab onto loose ends from Northampton/Accomack County, precisely because they *are* relatively well documented now.

William Hiram Savage, Sr. was born in Surry County, VA, on the *west* side of the Chesapeake Bay, and the same birthplace is attributed to his wife Mary Robins. (There were Robinses on both sides of the Chesapeake.)

Some, but by no means all, of those haplo Es can be blamed on the Romans enlisting men for the Legions from one place and marching them to another. (This probably accounts for some Darcy, Howard, etc. results that have no obvious reason to be Es.)

Others must have arrived later - Elizabethan England had a sizable free Black community, particularly in London and a few other large cities.

Research where there is so little primary documentation can be...difficult.
