I am in the process of writing a book of one of the Dvur Kralove families, the Deutsch family. In my research I have come across an interesting effort by part of the Czechs to re write history, or better said, erase a part of history.
Here is one case
https://www.dvurkralove.cz/en/town/history-of-the-town-2/
If you notice
"The textile industry in the town began to fully develop in the 1880s, when the first textile factories began too be built (Winternitz and Friedman – 1861, Emanuel Bäumelt, Moritz Feldscharek, Julius Busch, atd.)."
In other words the great Jewish businessmen, Neumann, Sochor, Deutsch, Mautner, Breuer, etc, are all conveniently erased.
There is also an effort to "Germanize" the Jews. When they refer to them they call them Germans or German speakers, meaning that dispossessing them was a natural thing to be done to "Germans".
Case in point...Kurt Spillman, the architect...in the Czech wikipedia page...he is described as "Kurt Spielmann ( January 1, 1903 , Olomouc [1] - 1943 Auschwitz-Birkenau ) was a Jewish, German-speaking architect working in Bohemia in the 1930s."
He is not Czech...though born in Prague...he is "German" speaking...making him an outsider
Bad enough they wont give anything back, but this I find offensive...
I will put together other examples
best
