Meginhard van Hamaland - Same person?

I think the questions is a bit short. But I think I understand the question.

You Private User want to know if Meginhard van Hamaland and Meginhard, Duke of Frisia, Graaf van Hamaland are the same person.

It is simple question, but the answer is more complex. They are both before 1700 so a Curator will not simply merge them as it is a lot of work of merge them. But in share world tree there can only be one profile for each pre-1700 person.

They are part of the same clan/family, but they are not the same person as far as I can see.

Merginhard is a first name that is use by al lot of persons in the Hamaland clan.

You are right at one point. There needs to be done more research. Meginhard van Hamaland and his direct family are death for more then 100 years so I hope to find the answer this year, but it will not be this week or this month.

Meginhard van Hamaland is my 32nd great grandfather.

Meginhard, Duke of Frisia, Graaf van Hamaland is my 27th great grandfather.
