As yet, The Knoxville Register of 24 January 1827 is the only mention of Chastity Byram as wife of Ebenezer to be found.
Her age range could have placed her birth in about 1810 making her about 18 at her departure for parts unknown, or in the 1740 or 50s putting her age in the 70s or 80s. There is nothing that suggests that Ebenezer Byram III was in a physical or mental decline as the only reason Chastity made any printed article so far is the law suit he filed against a Knoxville man for monies owed in the amount of $80-$90 plus court costs according to this same newspaper article.
Whether he had taken a wife by common law is a possibility, but being from a longstanding church going family since their arrival in Plymouth Colony in about 1637 from likely Indenture Servitude on the Island of Barbados following a possible kidnapping.
