I'll speak to Cathi Clore Frost about James Michael Holt as the one that's listed in the Germanna Record No. 21: The Willheit Family: The First Four Generations, which Cathi wrote, is born in 1755 and he's the brother of Ruth Catherine Holt. They are the children of Eva Wilhoit and Nicholas Holt, Jr.

I think the database entry needs to be corrected as child #4 for Eva and Nicholas is listed as James Holt b. 1755, should be James Michael Holt.

Rachel Catherine Holt b. abt. 1763 in Orange Co., NC d. bef. 1835 was probably married to Peter Holt, Jr, son of Peter Holt and Rachel _____. The had one child, Michael Holt, b. abt. 1778 and died 30 March 1876 in TN.

I need to correct my reply! Rachel Catherine Holt is the sister of the 1755 James Michael Holt. James Michael Holt is the son of Eva Wilhoit and Nicholas Holt, Jr.

James Michael Holt b. 1755 married Ruth Holt, daughter of Nicholas Holt and Sarah Gregory on11 Sep 1815 in Orange Co., NC. Cathi states that the relationship between the two because James Michael is Ruth Holt's uncle.
