I will detach David Liedtke born 1842 Germany from current parents Martin Liedke born 1810 Lithuania and Elisabeth Peterat born 1817 Lithuania
All the other children of these 2 are born in Lithuania - David was born in Germany
There are still issues with David Liedtke - some of which is outlined in https://www.geni.com/discussions/205273
He has that he arrived in the USA on 3 June 1874 but had 2 children born in Germany after that. Do you know when the rest of the family arrived?
Leanne,
Thank you for fixing this. I do not know when the two children of David where born. This branch of the family belongs to Larry Smith, you will need to talk to him. Also, this information comes from another member that actually put it there and they would be able to fix the problem. I can not remember her name off hand.

Private User I don't agree with this, since according to other family records, David was correctly connected as part of this family. It should be noted that Susan got information for populating this part of the tree from my tree on ancestry, including my parents.
This request makes as much sense as Susan being manager of my parents' profiles, people that Susan had zero knowledge of without looking at my tree.
Moreover, in 2018. I matched Susan as a 4th cousin as per gedmatch, which was corroborated by this tree definition.
Thankfully, you assisted in removal of Susan as manager of my parent's profile.
I just interpret this as a form of vandalism which compels me to pull together the information to demonstrate the information was correct.
Private User A few things concerned me about this request, and I apologize for my past frustrations dealing with a cousin to cloud my message
1. Request was made without supporting evidence
2. Not only was I the joint profile manager that Susan didn't review this change with, Susan uploaded my tree from ancestry AFTER I introduced Susan to Ancestry, and I had stated my intention to upload my tree to geni. Susan admits above that she doesn't have any knowledge of this Liedtke branch as per
Susan's admission "I do not know when the two children of David where born. This branch of the family belongs to Larry Smith,"
- this begs the question of not only why Susan didn't consult with me since she has zero knowledge where was Susan's supporting evidence for making the requested change that you agreed to make ?
3. My DNA match with Susan (4th cousin) and others that are closely related to Susan align with the trees connecting as I originally had it. After review with another cousin, we believe that if Martin wasn't David's father, it is likely David's uncle.
If you can help me understand why you accepted this request with zero evidence, I could better understand the ground rules that others are to follow.
Hi Lawrence Smith
I don’t follow any request without investigation. I reviewed all the sources and information on the profiles, did a lot of independent research and added a lot of sources to the profiles. Once I did that it was very obvious that 2 different families had become confused.
You have been asked to provide sources (in other discussions and in private messages) but so far in 2 and a half years you have not provided a single source.
You have been asked to tell us what you think is wrong with the profile but for 2 and a half years you don’t provide any details except to continue with your personal issues with another user.
You need to
1) tell me what you think is wrong with the profile - ie what changes you want made to the profile
2) add sources to back up the changes you want made.
3) stop with the personal arguments against another user
i am sorry, however, i never saw any evidence hence my question.
Issues arose since other user uploaded my tree from ancestry when i said i would , and became profile manager of my family & extended family
I never invested any more time in providing research or updating geni since my concerns were not addressed. I am just updating ancestry at this time.
Thanks for your response.
