Ojibway is Canadian, and Chippewa--same--only the US name. I read that a few years ago.- I know that Chippewa are in the Great Lakes area. There is a band in Grand Traverse, MI, and I think there is a big band in Minnesota. You can find out more if you google the migration routes for the Chippewa/ Ojibwe. I'm on the Mormon site too--Family Search.org. Relative Finder, and they found ancestors for me, way back, Grand Sachem Wyandanch, and his wife, and he was Iroquois, (Canada and Atlantic US, and it sounded like they mixed with the Chippewa-Ojibway/Ojibwe/Ojibwa. If it would help, I can go back and get all of the family names, on the tree, going back to 2 of my NA Canadian ancestors and try to add it to Geni. Bobbie

My connection seems to be with the Micmacs.

My relations are in Western Nova Scotia. The Acadia First Nation of the Micmac. They were shunned in the past and I want to find them to make good.
