I have been working on my 2nd great grandmother Rachel Bickel who married William Linger my 2nd great grandfather. In 2017 a family member who has been doing research longer then I left me her research .NOT THINKING and broke my number one rule. I did not confirm about Rachel. Anyways I do not think george Washington Bickel and Nancy Glassford are her parents.
Part of the confusion could be that George & Margaret did have a daughter named Rachel Bickel but she was born in 1844 and married a William Mays.
An alternative set of parents have been suggested, again without sources: Jacob Bickel (1770-1850) married to a Margaret (abt 1770- )
Rachel was the first wife of William Linger and the mother of George Washington, Nicholas Bickel, Margaret Jane, Isaac, Herman, Elizabeth D, Marshall L., Rheuhama, William Jefferson, Louisa, Mary Elizabeth and Nancy Ann.
Question Wondering if this is possible correct? Jacob Bickel and Margaret Meese were married on 4/12/1848, the only child listed on a site is Rachel, her grandparents on the Bickel side were Johann Jacob Bickel 1743 - 1805. and Margaret Cogar 1743 - 1805.
With Rachel Bickel confusion I can not say the line for Rachel is correct . However odd I do have dna match to some of the Zeller`s that are in the line I have.
Do we have any Lingers Langers Bickles Ware/wire ZELLERS on geni??? That may possible help me
