Do we have any primary sources that place Burchard I von Thuringia as the son of Théodéric of the Franks

So the tree should probably stop at Burkhard von Thuringia, Duke of Thuringia and two of his sons are also highly suspect.
The “history professor” Heinar Schilling (through whose “research results” I had tied myself to the nobility) was a con man!

well, FMGMedlands also states that Burkhard's wife is unknown; whereas Geni has Aldred von Loingau listed.
Since you're all following Medlands as the definitive source, you will probably have to detach her.
