I am a descendant of Eliza Williams through my paternal grandmother, Alice Melva Kelsey(nee Roberts). I have not been able to identify Eliza's ancestors, nor have I found any information about her brother Baylis.
I have found a some inconsistencies in various records and wondered if anyone has information to reconcile these, or suggestions for how to trace her parentage, and that of her brother Baylis.
-- the birth location that is most common is Virginia. However there is a family tree on Ancestry.com indicating that Eliza was born in Springfield. The tree manager is not active so I can't clarify their sources.
Thanks in advance for any additional information about Eliza and Baylis, or suggestions for how to gain additional information. I am a member of Ancestry and the DNA throughlines don't extend to this branch of my family.
