He was born between 1890 and 1920. I believe the family farm was outside Calvinia or Carnavon which he left between the ages of 7-9. Either as a rwault of drought or financial reasons. He died in end of 1977 or 1978. He lived in belville. None of his siblings or mother or father were known.
