Family Search tree has death as July 7, 1650 Schwalbach, Saarlouis, Saarland, Germany, but no original source for same. I suppose Papua New Guinea is remotely possible but rather unlikely. Folks did travel quite some distance in 1650…. Looks like Papua New Guinea was on a profile from 2011 showing ManagersMichael Romsky, and Pierre Quenee which was merged by Pierre curator in 2016 with a profile Created byMichael Holst Egsgaard in 2008 which listed no death place. It’s quite possible that Michael may not even be aware of the merge and results.
Yes, it’s cool to talk! 😀
Have you heard from the managers involved with that profile?
Maybe Jacob was adventurous and died on an expedition of discovery in Papua New Guinea!
I have found I have to be very careful when adding information, as sometimes some intuitive feature either on geni or perhaps on my device program gets imaginative and adds something to what I have written without my awareness! Another way for mistakes to happen…
It seems the consensus across family trees on all the major websites is that he died in Schwalbach, Saarlouis, Saarland, Germany. The problem is that I can't find any trees that cite that info.
My suggestion for now would be to update the profile to give Schwalbach as the location, but include a note on the profile saying that a source other than Internet trees is needed.
