The parentage connected right now to Thomas with Howell Edes/Eads being is father is highly suspect. There is a Thomas Eads/Eade living in Pulaski County, Kentucky in the 1830 US Census. In the same census on the same page is a John Lynch so I assume that the Lynch and the Eads/Eade were living in proximity to each other. The Adkins were also in this area so it is highly likely that Chole married Thomas Lynch who died (need to confirm that research question, "Did Thomas Lynch who married Chloe Adkins die prior to her marriage to Thomas Eads?"

I do not know with 100% certainty that Thomas Eads, my 3rd great grandfather was the son of Howell Eades and Jane McClanahan. It is interesting to note that in the 1830 US Census of Pulaski Co., Kentucky there is a Thomas Eade/Eads who is living there and who is between the age of 50 to 60. The Thomas Eade/Eads in Pulaski Co. in the 1830 US Census was between 50 and 60 and had 1 male age 15 to 20 living with him. My 3rd great grandfather Thomas would have been 17 since the census was taken on June 1st 1830 and Thomas would have turned 17 in January of 1830. In the same family there is a female between the age of 50 and 60 and 1 female between the age of 15 and 20. This I assume is a sister to my 3rd great grandfather Thomas.

If the Thomas Eade/Eads in the Pulaski Co. 1830 US Census is my fourth great grandfather, I would assume that he has a connection to Howell Eades/Edes who died in Indiana since my 3rd great grandfather, Thomas and Chloe his wife moved from Kentucky to Indiana, before going to Iowa, then Nebraska.

As a result, I am going do more research but at this time, I am highly suspect of the connect to Howell. As such I am going to try to determine who Thomas Eade of Pulsaski Co. KY in the 1830 US Census is and which Eads family he comes from. This will allow a better tree to be made, one based on YDNA and on research and primary and secondary sources.

Are there actually sources that show Thomas Eads. b. 1813 was born in Amherst VA and not in Kentucky? Each of the US Federal Census show a 1813 birth year and the location is always listed as Kentucky. William Eads and his brother who are now deceased but ran the Eads Family in America felt that my 3rd great grandfather was born in Kentucky but that his father came out of VA. I now would like to try and actually prove that so any help on this with sources would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jay Eads
