John Barron of Dracut was not identified as a son of Ellis and Mary Barron of Groton by Donald Lines Jacobus in 1944. As far as I know, the only researcher who has connected John with these parents was Charles H. Browning in the 7th edition of his work, Americans of Royal Descent in 1911, but he did not explain how this connection was made and his entry for John Barron contains some errors. Additionally, Browning has a poor reputation for reliability. This profile should address these issues somehow or clarify how his relationship to the inferred parents can be proven.
