Sophie Elfman (Nemeroff) - Marriage of Isidor Sherman

The headstone only confirms that A woman named Sophie married a man named Max Elfman and that she died in 1975 in (presumably) PA.

There is a U.S. Social Security Death Index which seems matches this woman and gives her DOB as Feb 22 1895 which in turn matches the profile you linked this discussion to.

Whether the woman was Sophie Nemeroff and whether she married Ethel Olenick is neither supported nor disproved by the gravestone itself.

I'm not saying you're wrong, or even that I doubt you, just that the headstone doesn't support all of your statements. I shall dig a bit into the records.

So unless Sophie was a bigamist we can confirm that Sophie Elfman (of the headstone) never married Isidor Sherman

But no indication yet which wife was born Sophie Nemeroff
