How is it that he is listed as having two fathers who were apparently brothers?

John Armstead Townes there was a profile created in 2012 which listed Sir Peter's father as Richard de Braunche

Another profile was created in 2016 which listed Sir Peter's father as Sir Philip de Braunche

In March last year the two profiles were merged into one, for reasons unknown to me the resulting over supply of parents was not resolved. One possibility being that no one really knows and the two options are just guesses??

Makes sense I guess..I'll have to look up and see if I can resolve it as he was a great etc. grandfather

I see that the issue of two fathers being connected to this Peter Braunche was addressed in January 2022 but no correction to his connections were made, so he still has two fathers and that throws the Geni pathways off. If his father can't be proven, it's best to disconnect any unproven lineage so there are no speculative connections. If his parentage can be proven at some point, the appropriate connections can always be made at that time.

Supposedly he's a cousin line for me via Richard. I have no idea how I'd connect to him if he is a son of Philip. So, this is my brick wall on this line.
