Is there docoumentation for this Mary (Zelphir) Bolin?
Asking because she's in my son's paternal lines, but...I've seen her as Zelphir Bolin, maiden name unknown and never seen her as Mary or born in England.
The family traditions are that the mother of Rachael Ziilpher (Bolin) Jeffcoat was Native American, and I've come across notes like this in my research:
"According to most family Bibles that I have seen, Rachel was a Beaver Creek native (mixed). This has not been proven, however, Elijah, her son, was listed as non-white in 1800 when married to Jerushia Hoover. It has been said that Rachel's father was either a Chavis or a Bolin who married a woman named Zelphir who was a Beaver Creek Siouan Indian of Orangeburg, SC.

and I've chatted online with other descendants on the Jeffcoat lines who say the same thing. One person even said that the Y-DNA on the Bolin line rules out the Native American in the line having come from John Bolin and had to have come from his wife.
This person's daughter Rachael's Find-a-Grave page strongly identifies her as Native American:

Rachael Zilpher (Bolin) Jeffcoat
So you can see why I'm wondering about the source / documentation for Rachael's mother / Elijah's grandmother having been from England instead of Native American as everything else seems to indicate.
Thanks in advance for any clarification / documentation.
