Hi Roger, I'm afraid I don't have any more info on Angela. I got the name from a guy called Michael Hartnett, though I'm not sure what site it was on as there's so many! He and I are
both descendants of Beniamino Cherubini from his marriage to Catherine Foy in Dublin. Are you able to see my tree? I don't know how this site works as I haven't been on it much. If you can't access it do you know how I can share it with you?
Irene.
Irene, thanks for your reply. My wife (maiden name GUNN) is also descended from Beniamino - her Grandmother was Ethel Hartnett (1902-77). I've also seen Michael's tree, most of which is also in Ancestry.co.uk. It just seems a great mystery why an Italian man, married with children, ends up in Ireland. Unless it was bigamy, then I can only assume his 1st wife died, and his occupation (a sculptor or statue maker) provided an opportunity to move from one Catholic country to another.
Found it, but you may have already seen this. If you go on "wikitree" and search "Beniamino Cherubini" there's quite a lot of info but it's really just a summary of what we already know. The page is managed by Mike Hartnett and someone called Fionnuala O'Connor. You didn't say if you were able to view my tree on MyHeritage; if not I'm willing to give you access but I'm not sure how to do this.
Yes, I can see your tree, and Michael's. Yes, she was a daughter of Catherine Hartnett nee Cherubini, so an aunt of Michael, and then also my wife's grandmother. I have tried various sites to try find out details on Angela's death but to no avail. This will have to remain a mystery for now.
Did you know there's a Joe Carabini in Dublin directly descended from Beniamino Cherubini/Carabini in Dublin. He has his tree in Ancestry
