John Pezan born circa 1837 in Germany; died 03.27.1894 in Detroit, MI. John Pezan immigrated from Germany to the United States between 1865 – 1867; in 1870 John lived in Pontiac, Michigan. Newspaper article in the Detroit Free Press 04.15.1868 reported: “Since Monday morning last, the following aliens have declared their intentions to become citizens of this commonwealth, and have received the necessary documents” – John Pezan was one of the aliens. His will was filed for probate on 03.08.1894.
