I have added a few images of old postcards of Reichenberg/Liberec that my grandfather brought with him when they emigrated to the United States in the 1930s. The cars in the images are the only indicator of the dates these pictures were taken.

I have also posted a picture of my grandfather's ID card from the local Jewish hiking club that he was a member of in his youth (he was born in 1898) I am curious if other collaborators have similar documents.

Lastly I have posted an image of my great-grandfather who owned a small company in Reichenberg/Liberec and some of his workers. He sold the company and retired prior to World War I so this picture was taken circa 1905-1910 I am thinking the company probably produced textiles given the history of Jewish merchants in Reichenberg/Liberec but I have found no record of it thus far.

My wife's late father (Walter Gutvillig/Galat) was born in Liberec and we inherited a book of photos about the town which I will endeavour to scan. I am pretty sure it was published in the 1950s during the Communist era (which my father-in-law avoided by escaping to England with his wife and daughter in 1948). Having both survived the Holocaust, they felt that another totalitarian state was more than they could hope to survive (not least because he had come back to CZ in 1945 with Patton's US Army!)

What I do not understand is (a) how to view the postcards described (where are they?) and (b) where to place the scans when I get them done (and is there a limit on number or size)?

They are posted on the home page of the Liberec/Reichenberg discussion group in the photos section.
