There are two conflicting statements about the parents of David Anderson Swann in Geni profiles:
1. That his parents were John and Mary Swan from Kirkurd, Scotland. It seems the only link to these being the correct parents is that they were born in Peebleshire, Scotland.
2. That his parents were Henry Swann and Margaret Anderson who were married on 21 February 1818 in Horton, Staffordshire. The maiden name Anderson would seem logical given David Anderson Swann's middle name, which is carried on in several of his children. However, I have not been able to confirm this marriage on Ancestry.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
