I am also a descendant of Jakob Elias Aschkenasi and trying to determine more information. There are no sources I can find which really reference the very very significant members of this tree, but I'm looking for anything I can find. It's pretty wild for any jewish family tree to be recorded this deeply for folks who are not extremely significant.
So how much of this is fact and how much fiction?
This all leads in theory to my paternal segment in Obuda.
We see an 1850 census which tells us the age of various members and perhaps adopted members of an Elias family.
For my great great grandfather I inherited a Stammbuch which was a vertical listing and nothing at all regarding Siblings . His mother was indeed a Deutsch named babette/Berta/Julia depending where one looks.
So I have via the1850 census names and ages but nothing else so how can we believe what we see here where
women are excluded
Peter Rohel (c) it does appear that this tree is mostly fiction, and an attempt to tie together various Ashkenazi families. Have you ever found a source for any of the names prior to 1700?
Balázs Déri usually works from books or other trees, but if we cannot find any sources for these historical profiles, me probably should sever them and rebuild when sources are found.

Randy Schoenbergm perhaps Balázs Déri will reply and give us some insight on a) where is he getting these names b) do they belong in this / these tree branches.
I agree - only Known names should be Added to this branch - NOT "fiction, and an attempt" to tie together various Ashkenazi families together".
I asked B. Déri concretely, a while ago. My ancestor Maria Deutsch was a daughter of Ensel Deutsch. The information about Ensel Deutsch's parents (and all the line of ancestry) was added by Déri Balázs and I asked for information about that connection. He replied that he guessed and cannot prove it. Regarding the older names he refers to personal inspiration and some obscure theories.
I just joined this discussion, but it is not the first time I find Herr Doktor Balázs Déri behaving as an elephant in a porcelain shop.
My connection to the subject is, except for my Mother, along a vertical of 19 males starting with Hirsch Deutsch, my second great-grandfather, so I am naturally very interested in accuracy.
Can you help, Randy Schoenberg ?
