Thonton in Lonsdale Baptisms (Bigcrofte only)

1) Jane Tatham (dau. of) John Tatham August Bigcrofte 1606
2) Margaret Tatham (dau of) Robert Tatham October Bigcroft 1628
3) Thomas Tatham (son of) Robert Tatham July Bigcroft 1625

In all of Thornton during this period there is no other "Bigcroft" in the two list other than for the Tatham surname...

Isolating the Bigcroft moniker in the Thornton in Lonsdale parish register:

1) Marmaduk Tatham 17 May 1598 Of Bigcroft
2) Richard Tatham 4 November 1599 Of Bigcroft
3) John Tatham 17 June 1603 Of Bigcroft
4) Isabel Tatham John Tatham 3 December 1605 Of Bigcroft
5) Ellen Tatham Richard Tatham 8 January 1625 WIFE, from Bigcroft

It appears by the dates that the marital pairings are
RIchard is the husband of Ellen (need to check the more detailed record)

The next logical step is to look at all the Thornton marriages for both Richard and John Tatham in the late 1500s. There records don't cover that time frame.

JOHN

John Tatham Anne Tatham 27 April 1635
John Tatham Anne Wildeman 28 April 1635

RICHARD

Richard Tathame Ellen Robinson 16 January 1592
Richard Tathame Elizabeth Beamonde 8 December 1594
Richard Tathame Elizabeth Hollme 28 May 1598
Richard Tathame Agnes Grenefell 30 July 1598
Richard Tathame Elizabeth Gibson 16 May 1601

and none show any reference to Bigcroft.

so: In order... I have covered
1) Burials
2) Baptisms
3) Marriages

There are very many other Tatham family in the Thornton registers but I was trying to stay focused only on Bigcrofte and
John Tathame of Biggecroft
Robert Tatham of Biggecrofte, Yorkshire
Jane Tatham
Margaret Tatham

I had the order wrong:
1) Baptisms
2) Burials
3) Marriages

When Ellen Tatham was buried in 1625 we see that her widower husband was of Bigcroft

What "appears" in the 6:41 am posting is NOT true... The two Richards are different
