I am wondering why the place of birth for Elizabeth Graham Sweatt and some of her children is listed as Fairfield, Seychelles. There is no such place. I am trying to determine the correct set of my ancestors in this line. Some have it has James Theopolis Sweat and his wife Susannah Anderson and some have it as John "of Hunt's Bluff" Sweat and Elizabeth Graham. Both men are listed as having William of Hunt's Bluff (sometimes listed as William R.S. (or Rev. Soldier) Sweat with the same birth/death dates and mother being Lucretia "Lucy" Turbevul(ville). Obviously they are brothers but it is confusing to know which goes where. I do know that in John's will, he lists all of his wife as Elizabeth Sweat (formerly Graham is stated in the will) and lists all of his children, the youngest being "John" at the time of the will, 1813. He died in 1816. I have as my next anscestor, "Abner William Sweat" born in 1776, so I know that this cannot be correct, because he is not mentioned in his father's will in 1813. However, there are many references showing that Abner was the son of John of Hunt's Bluff and Elizabeth Graham. Some show that his mother was Susanna Anderson so I am very confused. I feel confident in the line of ancestors before and after these two sets but am just unsure where to find this information. If anyone has any insight or further information, please let me know.
