"West Virginia, Marriages Index, 1785-1971" shows marriage to Caroline R. Hupp in 1848 in Wood, West Virginia.
"Virginia Marriages, 1740-1850" shows marriage to Caroline R. Hupp on 1 January 1811. This date is before he was born (1826).
Bride and Groom names are approximately the same on both sources. Locations are approximately the same if you consider that West Virginia was part of Virginia until 1863 then became a separate state.
Wood county is the county in West Virginia directly across the Ohio river from Hockingport, Ohio, where Hiram Hupp Spencer was born.
