Anna Roberts (Burchfield) - Burchfield...Why did Geni flip to my father side for blood related

Well here i go again. I just want to go on record this time to say i notice this happening to me.

Julia Ann Franklin (Roberts) daughter of Elcany Green Franklin and Ann Roberts (Burchfield). My grandfather is David Winchester Franklin. I am sorting out all the Marthas to get my tree straight and soon as i get to Ann Burchfield the Geni blood relationship flips to my father side instead of my mother side. Ann is an autosomal match to my DNA. Can somebody explain why did Geni flip to my father side of the tree to show a more distant relationship.

I notice this happens from time to time as i research so many royale lines connected to my direct line.

I just want to know any situations that can cause this to happen? Apparently my parents are related to each other because all it does is kick over to my other parent and i get a notice in my email.

Could it be something i am doing causing Geni to flip back and forth? Any advice or suggestions?
