After digging in to all available sources of documentation on Daniel Garrard Sr (spouse) and Lucy Garrard (daughter), I am unable to find any hard evidence that Daniel's spouse Elizabeth had the Washington name at birth or was descended from the Washington lineage. All sources that also include Daniel Sr and/or Lucy (Garrard) Stephens list Elizabeth as having an unknown surname. Unless documentation (outside of community-built ancestry trees) is uncovered that proves otherwise, I would suggest that Elizabeth's link to Henry Washington should be removed.
