Margaret Rose Carie

Margaret Rose Carie A.K.A. Granny, Nee Nee, Aunt Sis, age 80, born on June 14, 1928 and Alma resident for 44 years, embraced by her loving family, she went to heaven on August 13, 2008.
She married Robert Eugene Carie on September 16, 1950.
Many will remember her from MJ Murphy Beauty School (Miss Margaret), owner of Margaret's Beauty Shop and the Mt. Pleasant State Home. She was a fantastic cook, knitting and crocheting expert, and a faithful Tigers fan.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Finucane (Jim Jackson), Virginia Carie, Barbara Webb (Russell), Deborah Morin (Rene'); sons, Robert Carie and Christopher Carie; grandchildren Jamie Ramirez, Mathew Finucane, Anna Cass (Brian), Rebecca Lalk (Mark), Brenda Webb, Amanda Morin, Donald Morin, Christopher Carie, Trinity Carie; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Ramirez, TJ Ramirez, Tyler Tupper, Haley Tupper, Jonathan Cruz, Emma Rose Cass, Sara Lalk, Kaitlin Lalk and Robert Lalk; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, all siblings and two great-grandsons, Zachary and Noah.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, or Jean R. Anderson VFW Post 7309 Ladies Auxiliary, Mason, Michigan 48854. Her last loving gift was to donate her body for medical research. A Celebration of Life memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2008, 1:00pm at Alma United Methodist Church, 501 Gratiot Avenue, Alma, Michigan.
