Nicholas Silvius - Need a curator please and thank you

I am not a curator but I am willing to use my experience with Ancestry to build my own tree to see what I can do as long as it is ok. I won’t make changes.

Research says two different Catherine's of Nicholas, one's supposed to descendant of Bast family. The other has possibilities of descent from Heidt. Elizabeth Magone says one. I am not a curator, either. I would believe Magone, first. Just trying to keep up.

Once the curator changes the birth date for Nicholas the profiles will be consistent. The note that was added had the correct birth date but it was curated with the wrong date. In addition there are two profiles on Ancestry and My Heritage. One of them has Catherine Best or Bost and the other has Sorber. People merged them over time and thus the confusion. A curator locked the wrong birth date for Nicholas Sr and used the birth date of Nicholas JR.

I can’t seem to do unmerge even though I follow the directions. That feature would come in handy. r

I have tried to contact the curator many time but he does not respond. Perhaps he is no longer assuming the curator role. This leaves me unable to complete my tree because there are errors in the profiles that are locked. When I run a consistency check these always show up but I can't change them so my only choice if I want to use this useful tool is to unfollow my own ancestors, and many of these locked profiles are the immigrant primogenitors in America. This is unbelievably frustrating.
