Do you have any evidence that Clarissa was born to the Slade family? I am a descendent of hers as well. My cousin has the Wilson Credle Family Bible. It lists her date of birth as May 10, 1804, but not her maiden name. It also lists the names and dates of births of her children. My cousin and I have been working diligently to track down her family information, and there seems to be nothing to little to be found. I ran across a Slade descendent on Ancestry but we share no DNA, so I ruled that name out. She said she just copied the link assuming the information was correct. But she verified that David Lott Slade's will does mention a Clarissa but does not mention her being married, as Credle or to Wilson Credle. This woman from Ancestry was the holder of the original Will.
Do you have sources that prove she was a Slade? I would love to put this search to rest.
