I am trying to find out my grandmother's heritage. Name Nellie Heneke, married Frank Pereira Serrao in Capetown South Africa, about 1900-1913.
Her parents and family was of Dutch origin, and I am not sure if they lived in Capetown South Africa or Holland. We know nothing of her family. Frank and Nellie lived on Queen street and baptised their 3 children at St. Mark.s District 6, church. They left Capetown in June of 1913 and sailed to Demerara British Guiana where they started their lives and had more children. I am desperately wanting to learn of her roots, so I can pass them on to my children. I know that she had parents and sibilings either in Holland or South Africa.
