I am following the family line of Waclaw Radwan the artist, who was the second husband of Elzbieta O'Rourke. I am interested if anyone knows why her marriage to Count Karol O'Rourke ended after only 5 or 6 years. Was it usual in late 19th Poland for a noble woman to run away from a marriage to a nobleman, and to take up with an artist who was living in Paris???
