I am the 4th great-granddaughter of Patriot John Parrott. I am the first to prove his lineage through both his son, William Richard Parrott, and William's full sister, Frances Parrott Williams. Brother & sister (William & Elizabeth) of John's first wife (Frances Unknown) had children who married, so that meant 1st cousins married (William R. Jr. & Martha "Patsy" Williams). William Sr. was in Taylor/Green County and Frances Parrott Williams was in Hancock County. Their children married in Hancock County, KY and Patsy moved with her 1st cousin husband to Taylor County. It's not known if Frances Parrott Williams ever visited her father, John, when he moved to live with his oldest son, William, in Green County, KY. All of this has been proven with documentation through the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. Most of the lineage online declares Frances Peed as his 1st wife, but that is not possible if you study the dates (birth of John's son, Wm. & 1st daughter Frances as well as Frances Peed being married at the time and had 1 daughter - who actually married William R. Parrott Sr.and moved to KY - that being his step-sister. This is a family with lots of twists and turns.
