He would not have been the son of Mary Allison Gore if the marriage date to his father was 1719 (after his birth indicating that Mary was a second wife). I am not sure though how she could have married in 1719 if she died in 1708.

Joseph Goar [Gore] was the son of English immigrants John and Margaret Goar [Gore] who migrated to America in the 1660s, settling in the part of Lancaster County, Virginia, which became Middlesex County in 1669.
Joseph was born circa 1669 and married Mary Allison, the daughter of David and Joanne Allison, circa 1691. After having numerous children, Mary died about the year 1705. Joseph remarried on February 16, 1708/9 in Middlesex County, Virginia, to Lucretia Tugwell. Together they had numerous children, including: Ann (b. 1710 – d. 1726), William (b. 1715), Joseph (b. 1717 – d. 1717), Henry (b. 1719), Lucretia (b. 1721) and Jose (b. 1724).
He died at Age 51

Was it Joseph Gore Sr. who was really Joseph Joshua Gore and did he have a son Joseph and Joshua????? Looks like he was known as Joshua when married to Mary and Joseph when married to Lucretia. That makes no sense.
Anyone have more information????? Need some clarity for these profiles:
