Parents Robert Adams McFadden and Margaret McFadden are too young for this person. Seems there is a younger sibling named John also and that may be the correct one for the attached parents.

Need to cut or unmerge somehow perhaps as the others except for Candor Adams McFadden seem to need to stay with the parents age-wise. Please advise.

Double names are not usual during the time period.

Heard from one profile manager that Candor Adams McFadden needs to stay with the parents Robert and Margaret.

Any more info?

Some of the above does not compute I don't think in terms of dates and places, but more needed ?????

There seems some confusion with a Robert McFaydean who married Margaret Carson in Scotland and a Robert McFadden who married Margaret Eliot in Ireland. Dates are confused.

Needs more work.

I am not convinced that Pvt. Edward McFadden, Sr., Rev. War Vet. is a son of Robert Adams McFadden and Margaret Eliot. Not finding anything.

Need to review that relationship also.

I've worked through trying to clean up Isaac McFadden, Sr. son of Candour Adams McFadden and Mary Guy Isaac was another Revolutionary War patriot. There were lots of merges and clean ups. Please review what has taken place to see what is needed or if it is correct. No disconnections, just clean up so far. Need more info such as wills, etc. if available.

Still unsure if Candor is with parents Robert McFadden and Margaret, but the key may be which set of Roberts and Margarets.

The Find a Grave memorial is a mish mash of information about Candor the Imigrant and younger generations. No note of his parents in the narrative, but it does not have him connected to Robert Adams McFadden and Margaret Elliot.

More research is needed to make connection with current parents.

The saga of the McFaddens of SC is still going on. This time, the wives and children of John.

According to various sources, John Edward McFadden had two wives:

Margaret McFaddien who had with him the following American Revolutionary War patriot sons:

John McFaddin

Thomas McFaddin

Robert McFadden

After Margaret Lemmon's death, John married Margaret McFadden Children with Margaret Price noted in his will probated on July 13, 1773:

James McFaddin date of birth June 6, 1773.

Mary McFaddin who had to be born before 1773 as she and James are both named in the will.

Then there is William McFaddin who Find a Grave has him born on December 24, 1773 and I suspect that is the tombstone birthdate.

Here is the issue or is it? We are saying that a woman delivered a child in June, her husband died in July and she had another child by him in December? In the 1770s? William is not named in the will of John, but Find a Grave links the family together.

It is believed that Margaret Price married three times. Any thoughts on this? I am posting the handwritten will off of ancestry. It starts on the right of page 1.

Additional notes on this profile at the bottom. I am fine with leaving William, but if we go by wills, he doesn't fit. However, his father may know have known of his existence. Is there any protocol for this situation.
