It is not about two different fathers, This is about the same father,that someone established a tree parallel to the general tree .... The problem is in the continuation of the tree (backwards), the same person who established the parallel tree connected the branch to different ancestors than the tree established by Jaim David HARLOW

Haim Katz - Hachoen Wartski Jaim's tree is not correct though, so we can solve a lot of problems by just disconnecting the incorrect tree here, and then working on the better tree.

The origin of all of this is a book called Tiferet Beit David (Jerusalem, 1968) by Rabbi Moshe Yair Weinstock which traces the ancestry of the Maharal of Prague to Rabbi Sherira Gaon. The legitimacy of Weinstock's work is somewhat in question.
