I work for Geni and we were contacted by a close family member with the following corrections, for your consideration:

her birth year was 1906, not 1909
she was born Lucy Ann Covington. After her husband's death she changed her name to Lucyann Covington Vavra.

If these sound correct to you, you may want to make the birth year change directly on the profile. As for the name change, perhaps the "Also Known As" and "Display Name" fields would be helpful in reflecting the variations.

Mike Stangel I'm sorry to say that unless your correspondent can provide some convincing evidence their information is simply incorrect.

Lucyann Julia Vavra has a photo of her gravestone and a copy of her obituary on her profile.
The photo is not very clear but a larger version is found at F.A.G. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/46358483/lucyann-julia-vavra which clearly shows 1910 - 1977.
The obituary does not refer to any years but lists her age at death as 67 which aligns with the gravestone. The obituary also lists surviving family including mother as Ethel and brother William, which matches the 1910 US Census https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10132-46039693/lucy-covi...

In the 1910 Federal Census Lucy's age is listed as 5/12, ie 5 months, and with an enumeration date of May 1910 this aligns with the December 1909 DOB currently showing on the profile.

I have separated "Lucyann" into Lucy and Ann, Lucyann and Julia moved to AKA field.

Note of caution, the family members listed on F.A.G. do not match the obit or census records. I suspect the FAG site has conflated two different women.
