This is a very important messages from a user in Denmark, where Geni rules are being circumvented !!

Blokerede brugere Du kan forhindre bestemte brugere fra at kontakte dig eller udføre handlinger på profiler, som du administrerer. Hvis du blokerer en bruger fjerner du dem også fra din familie grupper. In English: You can prevent certain users from contacting you and operating on profiles that you manage. If you block a user, you also remove him/her from your family group.
“This does NOT work at all. Certain blocked users have merged and operated on nearly all my family profiles and a lot of profiles I created!”

“Rule of privacy has been violated several times in nearly all my family profiles. All of them have been “updated” and merged without my consent by a blocked user.
Geni does not appear to be a family network, as long as certain users are allowed to collect other people’s family and relatives.
Relationship is not even considered, when management is given to people with no connection to the profiles.
I am NOT allowed to cooperate with my sister or my husband on our shared family and relatives!”
Content/Activity Prohibited, if someone: 5. promotes information that you know is false or misleading or promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libelous; 6. promotes an illegal or unauthorized copy of another person's copyrighted work, such as providing pirated computer programs or links to them.
Copyright Policy. You may not post, modify, distribute, or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information belonging to others without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights. It is the policy of Geni to terminate Membership privileges of any Member who repeatedly infringes the copyright rights of others upon receipt of prompt notification to Geni by the copyright owner or the copyright owner's legal agent.
“A certain user has actually more than once uploaded false, misleading information on profiles I created. The same user has used pirated computer programmes to prove profiles and unauthorized copies from my own website and from others’ as well! Sometimes modified to reveal that the texts are copied!”
After posting your Content to the Geni Services, you continue to retain all ownership rights in such Content, and you continue to have the right to use your Content in any way you choose. If, however, you invite other Members to share your family tree on the Service, or agree to merge your family tree with another Member's family tree on the Service.
“My ownership rights to content in About Me is violated, when Geni Team before merging remove the texts and after merging replace them, so Geni Team appears to be the creator.
My ownership rights to profiles I created are also violated, when my profiles are merged with NN or other fake, empty profiles, resulting in fake creator and often 1st managers, who did not even know the names of the profiles. How can a user, who did not even know the name, let alone the place names or other important info, manage a profile?”
Member Disputes. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Geni.com Members. Geni reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other Members.
“The “disputes” are due to a blocked user’s violation of Geni rules, which is ignored, and nothing is done about it!
Blocking the harassing user does NOT work, reporting her misconduct does NOT work, but displaying how she abused other people’s work on my profiles of family and ancestors is seen as is if SHE is the victim of harassment!
Result: the victim of the blocked user’s meaningless harassment loses edit permissions! A decision, made by the harassing user’s curator friends, who has helped her to capture my work by locking profiles, “MPing” them, so only SHE can work on them – which she cannot. Result: MPed, locked profiles are never proved!”
18. interfering with, disrupting, or creating an undue burden on the Geni Services or the networks or services connected to the Geni Services;
"No response from misconduct@geni.com if I ask what my husband and I did wrong, since we are not allowed to edit anything - only if I have made copies/duplicates of my own ancestors’ profiles, mostly all managed by inactive users, who never finished or proved them, there is a response: I am NOT allowed to do what the blocked user has done to most of my work for years!
Don’t incorrect merges and adding incorrect family to my profiles create an undue burden on Geni services??"
Statute of Limitations. You agree that, regardless of any statute or law to the contrary (to the extent allowed by applicable law), any claim or cause of action, arising out of or related to use of the Geni Services or this Agreement, must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred.
"My husband and his family were deleted and disconnected from the world tree on May 7th, 2021, and in spite of several letters of complaint to misconduct@geni.com, nothing has been investigated, and my complaints have been ignored. Ruining the world tree is a reason for banning users, but WHY is this vandalism ignored?"
