Erica Howton please see.
I am now back to this.
Should I merge and disconnect BOTH sets of parents?
I have been disentangling the John Hoovr fro John G Hoover with the help of unmerges from 2019 and 2021 in addition to the 2022 you did for me.

I know he had two wives. Maybe three.
Am holding at just the two Sarah's and will revisit.
is the key.
Step daughter of Owens.
I think I will figure it out or at least get two families separated.
In the meantime, this one is in the census and will help to sort--- it will keep.
To all the managers, thank you for your patience.
My DNA matches are coming from Hicks down through/to Brooks, Voiles, Hoover.
Thank you
I think she is a duplicate of Mary L or J Owens but shows as daughter of different Sarah and John.
Making the decision to move her since we have a census record and she is not seen with husband nor children on either profile.
Then we can build out HER family group as they are found.
Continuing to disentangle these Sarahs and Johns.
Erica Howton looks like three wives named Sarah if the census birth years are correct.
This is looking all the more like the same John the more I work on them
Census:
1850 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10126-11938412-/sally-ho...
1860 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10127-23817010-/sarah-ho...
1870 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10128-71808001-/sarah-ho... (divorce occurs after)
1880 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10129-58439859-/sarah-a-...
1900 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10131-54253186-/sarah-ho...
I think the last wife was living in the home in the 1870 census and is a relative of the second Sarah.
John and family in 1850 to 1900 Census:
1850 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10126-11938412-/sally-ho...
1860 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10127-23817010-/sarah-ho...
1870 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10128-71808001-/sarah-ho... (divorce occurs after)
1880 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10129-58439859-/sarah-a-... Sarah Owens Hoover
(1880 https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/10922977:6742 Sarah Brooks Hoover listed as widowed but is actually divorced)
1900 https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10131-54253186-/sarah-ho...
He had his first child with second wife Sarah Hoover (Owens) about the same time as his last child with first wife Sarah "Sally" Hoover (Brooks)
BOTH wives are seen in his household in the 1870 census with second wife enumerated as Domestic Servant and her daughter is living with her in their household.
Head (implied) John Hoover 48 Wife (implied) Sarah Hoover 44 Son (implied) John Hoover 14 Son (implied) Eliah Hoover 12 Son (implied) Green Hoover 10 Son (implied) Washington Hoover 8 Daughter (implied) Elen Jane Hoover 2 Sarah Owen 27 Mary Owen 6
Apparently both Sarahs become pregnant around the same time and a divorce occurs so we find two households in the 1880 census.
Riley misses being seen in census because of the loss of the 1890 census and his findagrave and grave stone say 1878 but his social security and other records have him as born 1883 which makes more sense. His death record names his parents John Hoover and Sarah Brooks.
These two family groups are complete and apparently the Doss was in the wrong tree and not seen as a wife of this John.
Also, I do not know if the father of Mary Owens is known but both Sarah's had a child Mary but Mary Owens is either an NPE or Sarah Owens married an Owens before John Hoover or else Mary Owens is NOT her daughter. I hope to find more about her at some time but for now my goal is achieved in sorting these two women and attaching their children to them correctly.
Thank you.
