I need help sorting this family out a bit. The Overview notes states that Israel Folsom married Lovica Nail, not Louisa Dovie Nail. The Find-a-Grave page for his wife Lovica Nail shows her parents as Henry Nail and Mary Bates; not Herny Nail and Mollie Welch. Everything is close to the same but not identically the same.

This site has the same info as her Find-a-Grave page: https://choctawspirit.wordpress.com/2018/12/29/against-all-odds/

*Lovicia Nail Folsom, born 1807; daughter of Henry Nail and Mary Bates; wife of Rev. Israel Folsom; died at Caddo in 1876.

So, was her name Louisa Dovie or Lovica? Was her mother Mary Bates or Molly Welch?

Thanks for any clarification.

Henry Nail, Sr., is buried on lot 1218, Mansfield cemetery. He was born in Germany in 1757;came to America in 1777,and some time later enlistedintheContinentalarmy, andserveduntilthecloseofthewar. He
came to Richland county in 1816, and remained here until his death. He
was the grandfather of our A. F. Nail, of "Drummer Boy” fame, who was
a soldier in the war of 1861-5, and is the son as well as the grandson of a soldier.

-wikitree has Mary Bates but Geni has Molly Welch ??
Her father info is no problem finding. I see the confusion now-

I attached a picture to Molly
Could her name be Mary “Molly” Welch Bates.. isn’t Molly, Polly nicknames back in the day.
Look over the attached picture to Mrs Nail.

Thanks
